Diwali Ball 2016
HUMSoc is proud to present the OFFICIAL Oxford University Diwali Ball 2016!
On the 25th of November, the Oxford Town Hall will be transformed into a spectacle of lights, music, and culture. Diwali marks new beginnings, and what better way to enjoy new friendships than an Oxford ball with a cultural twist?
On stage this year, we bring you THE Panjabi MC, as well as Oxford's very own The Fusion Project, fresh from their recent concert with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. As well as the musical entertainment, savour the atmosphere - with dhol players, henna stalls, an abundance of food, and much, much more...
To top it all off, Zee TV will be capturing the evening so that the World can see how Oxford does Diwali. However, the night doesn't end until the official Diwali Ball afterparty.
Proceeds from this year's Ball go to CARE India, who work towards the empowerment of women and girls from poor and marginalised communities, leading to an improvement in their lives and livelihoods.
